Inside Playstation is the official German-language YouTube channel from Sony PlayStation. Hosts Wolf Speer, Anne Wernicke and Maurice Zerjav report from the PlayStation world on the hottest gaming trends, the latest games and much more.
As part of the world’s largest convention for computer and video games, GamesCom in Cologne, we worked together with the production team from Fat Butterfly GmbH. We edited numerous videos about the trade fair and the manufacturers from all over the world who present their new software and hardware.
The highlight of GamesCom was always the annual tour of the trade fair with Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, which was seen by up to 250,000 gamers around the world. Editing and completing a half-hour interview in one night has a unique appeal!
The special challenge in editing trade show videos is the quick “turnaround”, i.e. the fast editing of the videos right after shooting. Within one day of the fair, 5-10 videos were created. This requires the highest level of concentration and a confident handling of the tools of post-production in order to prevent unnecessary loss of time.
